Ad-Dahna Desert

Ad-Dahna is one of the deserts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with an area of 45,000 km², and it is located within the Northern Borders region, Hail, Al-Qassim, the Eastern Province, and Riyadh region, representing 7.1% of the total sand deserts in the Kingdom.

Ad-Dahna is a sandy terrain in the shape of a great arc extending about 1,200 km from the southeast of Al Nafud Desert to the north of Rub Al-Khali desert (Empty Quarter). Its southern end is called Rumaila, which is a local name that means the integration of the sands of Ad-Dahna with the sands of the Empty Quarter.
